SYNOPSIS:The service is erratic, the manager dubious, there aren't even any fish in the tank.…But if you’re uncertain of who you are and have no clue where you’re headed, thislousy hotel could be the perfect sanctuary.
“Life Without Me”, is an Australian existential fable that feels awkwardly familiar. If you don’t know who you are and you don’t know where you’re headed, you might find yourself spiralling in ever-tightening circles until you come to rest in a non-descript part of town in a crummy two-star hotel, where the service is churlish, the lift doesn’t work, the toast is burnt and the pot plants set off your allergies.
Trapped in a hotel that would rival “Fawlty Towers”, guests are thrown into chaos as a storm of sheer incompetence is unleashed. If they can endure the utter ineptitude, these blow-ins, drifters and muddled souls may check out with a little less personal baggage than they checked in with.
